To investigate the role of the Atlantic Niño in influencing El Niño-Southern Oscillation (ENSO) in the tropical Pacific Ocean, we performed three experiments using the atmosphere model ECHAM4.6, including a control run and two sensitivity experiments. The forcing in the atmosphere model was specified based on monthly global sea surface temperature field from observations. The horizontal resolution was set to approximately 2.8˚ with 19 vertical levels, and the model was integrated for 42 years. Included in the files are simulations from the last 38 years. The three data files contain key atmospheric variables in the tropical Pacific and Atlantic Oceans from each of the three experiments, including the precipitation field and 850hPa winds.
