Abstract
  •         Previous research has revealed a relationship between cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk factors and hearing loss with a gender-specific association exclusively observed in males. A critical gap in existing knowledge includes a limited understanding of the possible impacts of a deep vein thrombosis (DVT) elsewhere in the body on hearing. This case study endeavored to provide a comprehensive understanding of the complex dynamics between compromised cardiovascular health and sensorineural hearing loss by focusing on the changes in hearing status for one man following a DVT in the left leg.
