- Abstract
The phenomenological modeling of heavy ion collisions and the hot, dense Quark-Gluon Plasma created in these collisions is a dynamic field of ongoing research in modern particle physics. One such model proposed by C. Shen and S. Alzhrani [19] leverages local energy conservation to draw conclusions about hydrodynamic initial conditions in QGP, following strong-force equilibration. This model performs remarkably in many of its predictions, but fails to capture some features of data. This thesis presents a new model derived from these conservation conditions, with a change motivated by Lund color-string phenomenology. Discrepancies between model predictions can be used to discriminate between models with further study.
