Abstract
  • This study aims to determine how the anti-hero storyline in movies impacts public perceptions of mental health. According to the World Health Organization (2022), mental health is “a state of mental well-being that enables people to cope with the stresses of life, realize their abilities, learn well and work well and contribute to their community. It is an integral component of health and well-being that underpins our individual and collective abilities to make decisions, build relationships and shape our world.” Poor mental health has various negative consequences for all aspects of life. Therefore, the longer Americans do not give their mental being the same amount of attention and care as their physical wellbeing, they will suffer holistically. On the other hand, movies remain a large part of American Pop Culture with actors still being some of the most famous people in our country and movies influencing
