Abstract

Love is an experience that everyone has in this world, and a special type of love is given to everyone is love by God. There are many gifts that are given by God and it is on humanity to accept these gifts. It is also man’s responsibility to reciprocate the love given by God back to Him. There are certain things that make the process of reciprocating love back to God much easier–such as surrender. The ways in which people practice love for God differ greatly but all have the common theme of giving thanks and praise back to Him. To love God is not just for believers but is a necessary thing for all people to do. By practicing love, people are able to open their hearts up to themselves, their neighbors, and the world. The all encompassing force of love is something that has the strongest ties to God, as He is love. A goal of this paper is to not only show the relationship of love between man and God, but to inspire believers and non-believers alike to open their hearts to Christ.
