Abstract

• After becoming involved with the Boulder’s Farmers Market, our team realized that people
  are extremely interested in buying from sustainable sources. Despite this, most are very
  uneducated about where their food is coming from. So the question comes up: How can
  we buy sustainably if we don’t know what we are buying? To solve this problem, we created
  an app that can scan a product in a grocery store and then give an in-depth analysis of how
  sustainable the company that makes that product is. We wanted to give more power to
  consumers by allowing them easy, convenient access to product education.
