- Abstract
- An autobiographical exploration of the synchronicities related to the author's formative years, United States air disasters, the historical trajectory of the cathode ray tube television, and occult spirituality. The author relays anecdotal narratives shadowed by collective pop-cultural responses to the space shuttle Challenger disaster, TWA 800 crash, events of 9/11, and space shuttle Columbia disaster. The author examines the history of analog video art and its recent resurgence as a popular artistic practice, while relating the downfall of the CRT television to his rise into adulthood.
