This portfolio represents my work from the Critical Dialogic Pedagogy Micro-credential, a 10-week workshop series offered by CU Dialogues at the University of Colorado Boulder. As an engineering educator with a background in mechanical and civil engineering, I've explored how dialogic practices can transform technical instruction by connecting theoretical and abstract concepts to students' lived experiences. The portfolio showcases my redesigned questioning techniques for hydraulic engineering and construction safety courses, demonstrating how traditionally technical queries can be reframed to invite personal connection and dialogue. Through artifacts like my discussion protocols for construction ethics education and critically informed dialogic activities for pipe flow problems, I illustrate practical applications of dialogue-centered pedagogy in engineering contexts. This collection reflects my commitment to democratizing the engineering classroom through structured protocols like Chalk Talk, Jigsaw, and World Café, which validate students' experiential knowledge while building technical competence.
