Abstract

This creative thesis is a collection of short fictions defined by their formal experimentation and transgressive composition, connected by themes of youth, sexuality, and religion. Each one is a look at the ego and its development, whether through imagination or memory, in relation to its hypermaterial environment. The work included is unique for fiction, given its stylistic forbearers and modes of expression—poetry, nonfiction, film, museums, and the Internet. As a collection, this creative thesis presents a portrait of what it means to be tragically alive in the age of information.
