Hello! Welcome to Social Movements, a course wherein we will be exploring how communication constitutes (and sometimes obstructs) social justice, particularly in social movements. I am your instructor, Dr. Emily Loker. I use she/her/hers pronouns. I am very excited to be your instructor for this course. The focus of my teaching and research is how communication can support us in creating more just societies, so this course is right up my alley.
