Unless otherwise noted, assignments are due by 11:30 pm DENVER time (Mountain time zone). This allows some flex time for unexpected events before the assignment is considered late, after midnight.
Discussion assignments are not accepted late because they require interacting with peers.

When writing "inside" Canvas, such as discussion posts or quiz answers, use Chicago (Author Date) format (which also includes a page number for quotations).
When writing "outside" of Canvas, such as a word processing file you're going to submit as an assignment, use Chicago Note-Bibliography style. (In MS Word, keyboard shortcut cntl+F will insert a footnote.)
All of the following pieces of information must be cited, including in discussion board posts:
direct quotations
paraphrases and summaries
information and ideas that are not common knowledge or are not available in a standard reference work
any borrowed material that might appear to be your own if there were no citation
If naming an author in your writing, please aim for this style: According to Wood (2014), communication is defined as "..." (13).
not this : In Foundations of Communication, Chapter 1, Julia Wood says that communication is...
