- Abstract
Breaking the Bard is an interactive documentary experience geared toward making the works of William Shakespeare more accessible to a modern audience. Through the analysis of the historical, societal, and political environment in which the plays were written and first performed, specifically Hamlet, The Merchant of Venice, and Macbeth, users will be immersed in a digital environment to help comrehend why Shakespeare's plays after 400-years are still being produced today.
