- Abstract
- This research aims to understand the effect of expanding access to contraception on pregnancy behaviors and infant health outcomes. The paper studies the Colorado Family Planning Initiative, which provided no-cost Long-Acting Reversible Contraceptives (LARCs) to low-income women and teens. Using probit models, the analysis finds an improvement in the behaviors of pregnant women when more women have had the opportunity to access contraception.
