- Abstract
Throughout the late twentieth century, the queer community of Boulder, Colorado adapted its political tactics alongside the changing local and national environments on queer civil rights. This research follows these changes from the 1970s through the 1990s and how queer activists experienced both success and failure. Using oral histories, newspapers, campaign materials, and other historical scholarship, this thesis also explores the legal, political, and social ramifications of these movements, intertwined with emotional reflections.
