- Abstract
- Quantum game theory, as an extension of game theory into quantum strategic spaces that are implemented using quantum computation, promises to offer new solutions to old dilemmas. In some cases, quantum game theory allows us to overcome previously insurmountable strategic dilemmas. Here, we review two foundational examples, by David Meyer and Eisert, Wilkens, and Lewenstein, in quantum game theory and then develop and analyze a novel quantum game to illustrate how differing starting states and strategic spaces influence the equilibria in quantum games. We also provide the code for implementing our novel game in Q#.
