- Abstract
- In this paper two research paradigms are presented. These are the Precaution Paradigm and the Simulation Paradigm. They are derived from the person concept by means of representational schemas which are already a part of Descriptive Psychology. The use of these paradigms in evaluation research is discussed and illustrated. Material included in this paper was originally presented in 1978 under the title, "Research, evaluation, and representation," as LRI Report No. 18. The present version has been substantially enlarged and revi sed in some details. Grateful acknowledgment is made to Dr. Peter Ossorio and to the Linguistic Research Institute for permission to reprint. Linguistic Research Institute, Boulder, Colorado. Copyrighted 1979.
