- Abstract
The aim of this thesis is the collection of data relative to the history and development of Donley County, Texas. This region is important as part of that territory added to the United States through the great westward movement. The explorations, the disappearance of the Indians, the work of the buffalo hunters, the development of ranching, and the coming of the "nesters" with their plows, have made the train of events that, for this county, is the westward movement.
