- Abstract
In its various forms of landscape and landmark, water has an incredible capacity for transforming our minds, creating, what I refer to as a "conscious unconsciousness". By creating drawings of water spray or sculptures of abstracted clouds, I want to recreate the moments where we forget our surroundings and enter into a forgetfulness of choice. The personally icon forms of the fountain and the cloud seem to embody these romanticized ideas of water. In my work I play with ideas of absence and presence, longing and desire, forgetfulness and memory.
