Abstract

Through the exploration of works of a small group of writers and artists, I will be discussing issues integral to understanding personal "place" and the cultural connotations of "sense of place" in relationship to / know not where I am/ I am here. I am particularly interested in discussing the eidetic spaces of landscape and imagination; in the places that are simultaneously ingrained within us but exist elsewhere.
