An effort has been made in this thesis to present the features of the geology, petrography, and ore deposites that were observed during the progress of the field work at Lake Albion and in the subsequent laboratory investigations.

The fieldwork consisted of mapping and collection of rock and mineral specimens. The laboratory work included the analysis of minerals, and the examination of both thin sections and polished sections of the rocks and ore of the region.
