- Abstract
- In this thesis I describe the theoretical basis for my artwork, the lack of depictions of physical, emotional, and constitutional violence in the collected memories of internment, and eight of my photographic works. I theorize my work as humanizing a supposed Other, and remembering a repressed past in an effort to illuminate its uncanny impact on the present.
